The Marcelo Carrusca Football Academy aims to create a ‘football culture’ in Australia that results in our future generation being armed with the skills and habits, to make Australia a successful contender on the world stage. The future of football demands technical players who have the ability to make creative, clever, and fast decisions, which underpins the MCFA philosophy. We will work to create positive habits both on and off the field, with a strong focus on respect, and discipline. Our underlying ethos is based on the values of good behaviour, a positive mental outlook, and the ability to have fun.
Mutual respect is the basis of our sport, its values, and traditions and earns the respect of others in the way we behave. We respect opposition players and supporters. We respect Referees and accept their decisions. We value our coaches and those who run and support the Academy.
Discipline is a key element in developing and maintaining motivated hard-working. Don’t let the term discipline scare you, find the benefits. No personal success, achievement, or goal, can be realized without self-discipline, it is an attitude of mind that requires hard work and dedication. Self-discipline can not only make us better athletes, it can also make us better in real life too.
Teamwork is essential to our sport and working as a team enriches our lives. Be proud of your team, rely on one another, and understand that each player plays their part.
You might miss a Pass or a Penalty.…but learning from mistakes will make you Grow. The hard work will eventually pay off. We are going to work hard, but enjoying this process, having fun with it. Never give up and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Anything is possible through hard work and perseverance.
